Getting started

Consult the User's Guide for information on using the wiki software.

== Welcome to the Humax ‘Modified’ Software Pages ==

Please note that the Modified software detailed on these pages is not a stand alone replacement for the original software, As it's name suggests, It modifies the original software, Because of this, original software of the correct version level MUST be installed before the modified version is overlaid onto it.

For example modified software HDR_FOX_T2_1.02.20_mod_1.09_upgrade.hdf must only be installed over original software version 1.02.20, To check the current software version on your Humax enter MENU >> SETTINGS >> SYSTEM >> SYSTEM INFORMATION >> SOFTWARE VERSION

It is possible to download the latest original software from HERE The procedure for upgrading Humax software, (both original and Modified) is as follows :-

- Power OFF the product using the rear ON/OFF switch

- Download the software and save on a USB Pen drive

- Make sure the filename is hdr_fox_t2_upgrade.hdf

- Insert the USB Pen drive directly into the front or rear USB port

- Power ON the product using the rear ON/OFF switch

- The download should start and the download progress should appear on the TV set

- When the update is complete End will appear on the front display, "Download Successful will appear on the TV.

- Remove USB Pen and press standby

Notes:

During the update process DO NOT power off the product

USB Pen must be formatted in FAT32

The software must be on the root directory of the USB Pen drive (i.e. not in a sub-folder)

Try the other USB port if the first doesn't start upgrade

Not all USB Pens will be recognised, try a different USB Pen
