Firmware Upgrade Path

If your Humax came with software version 1.03.06 or above If your Humax arrived running software version 1.03.06 or later then do not downgrade it to an earlier version. It is safe to install the customised firmware based on 1.03.12.

The procedure for upgrading your customised firmware varies depending on which software your Humax is currently running and the version to which you are migrating. Refer to the tables below to find the appropriate instructions. These instructions reflect the upgrade paths which have been tested. Others may be possible but proceed at your own risk.

In the tables:

Official y.y.y 

indicates an official firmware release from Humax

CFW x.xx/y.y.y 

indicates customised firmware version x.xx for official firmware y.y.y

Upgrading to CFW 2.22/1.03.12 (Customised Firmware 2.22 based on Humax Firmware 1.03.12)

Upgrading to CFW 2.21/1.02.32 (Customised Firmware 2.21 based on Humax Firmware 1.02.32)

Upgrading to CFW 2.21/1.02.20 (Customised Firmware 2.21 based on Humax Firmware 1.02.20)

Official other	Download and install official 1.02.20 Download and install CFW 2.21/1.02.20
CFW 2.20/1.02.32	Download and install CFW 2.21/1.02.20 (There is no need to install Official 1.02.20 first, this single step will upgrade the Customised and up/downgrade Official Firmware components)
CFW other	Run prepare_for_upgrade diagnostic (see note below). Download and install official 1.02.20 Download and install CFW 2.21/1.02.20

Note: If you forget to run the prepare_for_upgrade diagnostic then you can recover afterwards by running the fix-flash-packages diagnostic as a final step.
